Day #24 of the power ranking push. Today’s blog is brought to you by an evening glass of Diet Pepsi and some scalloped potatoes. Going to keep today’s rankings short and sweet for the people, so we’re ranking colors of the rainbow. Today is a huge day to be Roy G. Biv because I don’t recognize the 8 or 10 color renditions of the rainbow. Let’s ride.
7. Indigo – You show me a person whose favorite color is indigo, and I’ll show you a liar. Nobody growing up willingly picks this color to be their favorite. Indigo is a preppy version of purple.
6. Yellow – My biggest issue with yellow is that it only looks good next to a red or green, ya know something fun. On its own, yellow is a tough look. Examples being school buses and taxis.
5. Violet – I classify violet as another try hard color and in my opinion is way too similar to blue and indigo. I have never heard someone say, “I love the color violet”. But Violet does get a Willy Wonka bump.
4. Red – Really not a bad color, but also not a great color. Red is literally the red-headed stepchild of the rainbow. Not the biggest fan of red because its relation to fire trucks and blood.
3. Blue – Blue is fricken sweet because there are so many variations of the color and its range is so underrated. Whether its baby blue or navy blue, both look hella sharp. Extra points for water appearing to be blue from a distance because nothing beats seeing the lake or ocean as you drive.
2. Orange – From birth I have been told to like this color (s/o Belding) and I’m hooked on this color. Looks sweet in sports and looks good on trees in the fall too. At sunrise or sunset, the sky sometimes turns a shade of orange and that looks cool too. Orange really is a slept-on color.
1. Green – I love me some green. John Deere tractors are king because they’re green. Sure, Sparty has big muscles but imagine him without the green amour. And is there anything that looks prettier than green grass on a sports field and or golf course. Green is the absolute best.
