It's day whatever of quarantine, there's still no sports and morale is kinda low at the moment. But like we've said, someone has to drink the beer and review them. So all the credit to Kold Hart for keeping up the good fight for the people and this time bringing along Tye Witt for a review.
Before we learn about this beer that they drank, let us learn something about Tye Witt. Tye loves apples and he grows them. That's it. That's all you need to know. Now for the beer.
Next Coast IPA by Goose Island
ABV: 7%
IBU: 40 (no clue what this is)
Color: Amber
SCORES: Kold Hart- 7.7, Tye Witt- 7.9
Additional Info: It’s 7%, but totally crushable — it’s not quite like any other IPA you’ve had. Big, bracing, piney hop flavors meet a tropical bouquet of Nugget, Citra, and Mosaic hops. There’s a balanced bitterness that blends seamlessly into the light to medium body. Sip it or rip it. We're not your mom.
Fun Fact: Despite being named Goose Island, this brewing company is based in Chicago, Illinois. A basic google search will also show you that there are very few islands in the area, but it's actually named after a slab of land in the city. Any way, this beer was reviewed in honor of Tye Witt's former roommate Jim Jam Milliagn. Jim Jam who was born in the burbs but lives and dies for the city of Chicago. But it's justified because he works in the city now. Love ya Jimmy.
