1.) I just want the Lions to be good. Sports are so enjoyable and uplifting when the team you root for has success. I’m not trying to be greedy and I’m not asking for them to win the Super Bowl every year, I just want a competitive team that wins 10+ games a season.
2.) I just want Aaron Rodgers to stop getting preferential treatment from the NFL. Save your arguments; they won’t change my mind. The non-holding calls. The hands to the face. The pass interference. The roughing the passer calls. It’s a tail as old as time: The Packers getting bailed out by the refs on an unsuccessful 3rd down attempt. Why do these instances occur significantly more for Green Bay than the Lions? Makes you think.
3.) I just want the Lions to have a game altering call go their way for a victory. In the past ten or so years, the Lions have had rules that 99.9% of fans have never heard of, or the NFL has had to modify rules as a result of a Lions defeat. I just want to know what it feels like to be on the other side of that. You can only handle so many crushing blows in a lifetime.
4.) I just want the Lions to be good. I fancy myself to be a simple person. God, family and friends, and sports, especially football. “I don't need a whole lots of money, I don't need a big, fine car, I got everything that a man could want, A successful Lions football team. -Grand Funk Railroad”
